The Frye Daddy’s Foundation is a Texas Nonprofit Corporation that was formed in August 2011 and granted Federal 501(c)(3) tax exemption status that same year. The foundation is staffed by friends and family of the late Donny Frye who donate their time to further the Mission of the foundation. The Mission Objectives for the Foundation are as follows:
Frye Daddy’s Foundation is established to commemorate the Life, Character and Spirit of Donny Frye. Donny dearly loved his children, his nephews, his nieces and all children the world round. In many regards, he saw the world through the eyes of a child and played the world as a big kid in a children’s world. He loved and lived life to the fullest and those who knew him loved him for his character and charity. To Donny there were no strangers. They were just friends he had not yet met.
To remember Donny and his life, the Board of Directors of Frye Daddy’s Foundation will recognize and promote those behaviors exemplified by Donny as his legacy and gift to his younger friends. This will be achieved through youth related charitable activities that will promote and foster the development of integrity, honesty, laughter and fun, competitiveness and most importantly love and fellowship of others.
The focus of these activities will be principally through charitable golf related venues but will also include other sports venues which Donny loved. These will include bikes and bike racing, youth baseball, youth soccer, youth football and youth swimming. The Frye Daddy’s Foundation will offer scholarships, golf camps, classes and various programs and may include donating equipment and supporting the construction of facilities required by the various sports programs and or activities. The Board may authorize supporting other youth related activities and individuals which best achieve and embody the character of Donny Frye through the Frye Daddy’s Foundation.
